Born Drew Blythe Barrymore,granddaughter of Hollywood great John Barrymore.Probably best remembered for her role as Gertie in ET The Extra Terrestrial(1982),her big screen debut was as William Hurts daughter in Ken Russell's Altered States(1980).
  At 25,already a veteran of over 40 movies,acting and producing,most recently the Charlies Angels big screen remake.

  This 31cm x 41cm oil painting was completed in July 2000, and very nearly ended up in the trash, I was having such problems with the skin tones. Thankfully, I put it aside and left it for a few weeks, and was able to see the problem more clearly after that.
   I like the way this one is much closer to the frame than the other subjects, as I am finding it less necessary to show a complete outline of the subject's head. I am pleased with the way the hair turned out..I think it has some depth to it. As for likeness..well, it looked okay in the initial sketches, but lately has been looking more and more like a certain FBI agent. I'll leave it at that.
